Eligibility Criteria for DCFR Recruitment 2021 – Young Professional Posts

Educational Qualification

Young Professional –II

Essential Qualification: Post graduation in Life science or Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology or Graduate degree holder in Engineering Technology/ Veterinary Science in a relevant field

Desirable: Experience in conventional PCR, handling of aquatic micro-organisms, and operation of Scientific Equipment. Candidates must be willing to travel Frequently in high hill areas for sampling. Note: Candidates with ICAR/CSIR /UGC NET will be given preference.

Young Professional –I

Essential Qualification: Graduation or diploma in life sciences/ B.F.Sc/ B. Sc in Basic sciences/ B. Tech in Biotechnology

Desirable: Working experience in handling fish pathogens, aquatic micro-organisms, conventional PCR, and operation of scientific equipment.

Note: Candidates must be willing to travel Frequently in high hill areas.

Young Professional –II

Essential Qualification: Master in Fisheries Science / Zoology / Environmental Science

Desirable Experience: Research experience in Aquaculture with working knowledge in fish maintenance, breeding, and culture. Good working knowledge in computer, data processing, and interpretation of the result

Note: Candidates with ICAR/CSIR /UGC NET will be given preference.

Young Professional –IEssential Qualification: Master in Fisheries Science / M.Sc. (Zoology)

Desirable Experience: Research experience in fisheries and aquaculture. Working experience in histology and nutrient analysis will be preferred

Young Professional –IIEssential Qualification: Post Graduation in Fisheries Economics/ Agriculture Economics.

Desirable :

– Experience in water quality analysis, Fish and Plankton sampling

– Good knowledge of taxonomy and biology of fishes

– The candidate must be willing to travel frequently in high-altitude areas of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and North East India.

– Excellent computer documentation and analytical skills

– Candidates with ICAR/CSIR /UGC NET will be given preference.

Young Professional –I

Essential Qualification: B.F.Sc./B.Sc. in Fisheries Science/diploma in fisheries science

Desirable :

Minimum Age Limit: 21 years

Maximum Age Limit: 45 years

Age Relaxation 

Age Relaxation for the Maximum Age Limit is given below

  • OBC candidates – 3 years
  • PWD candidates – 10 years
  • SC/ST PWD’s candidates – 15 years
  • OBC PWD’s candidates – 13 years
