Eligibility Criteria for Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme Recruitment, 2022

A candidate must be a citizen of India or a resident of Nepal or of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire. And Ethiopia and Vietnam are a candidate for categories with the intention of permanent settlement in India. The above should be a person who has been issued a certificate of eligibility by the Government of India. However, an eligibility certificate is not required in the case of candidates in Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

Educational Qualification

  •   Graduate from authorized University with a minimum of 50% of marks.
  •   Final year students are also allowed to apply if they have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the first two/three years of three/four years degree courses respectively.
  •    Service in NCC: Must have served at least two/three years (as applicable) in Senior Division/Wg of NCC.
  •   Grading: Must have obtained a minimum grade of ‘B’ in NCC’s ‘C’ certificate examination. Candidates who do not possess NCC ‘C’ certificate on the date of application are not eligible to apply for the course.
2 NCC (Men and women) Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army Personnel
  • Vacancies under wards of war casualties are available for wards of specified war casualties (including unmarried sons and legally adopted unmarried daughters).

  (Killed in action, Died of wound or injuries (Other than self-inflicted), Wounded or Injured (Other than self-inflicted), Missing, presumed dead)

  •  Degree from a recognized University or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks taking into account marks of all years.
  • NCC ‘C’ certificate is not required for war casualty wards.
  • ‘Battle Casualty’ certificate number issued by Directorate of Manpower (Policy and Planning) (MP Dte) reporting parents killed/injured/missing.
  • Copy of Directorate of Manpower (Policy and Planning) (MP Dte)/Respective Regimental Records PART II ORDER NO. Reporting injuries and classified as Casualty of War.
  •  Relationship Certificate Number issued by HR (Policy & Planning) Directorate 5 & 6 / Respective Regimental Records.

Salary Details

MSP(Military Service Pay) to the officers from the rank of Lieutenant to Brigadier   ₹15,500/- per month. fixed. 

Selection Procedure

  • Shortlisting of Applications
  • Only shortlisted eligible candidates will appear for SSP at examination centers.
  • Call letter for SSB interview will be issued by the respective examination center through registered email id of candidates and SMS only.
  • Candidates will be put through a two-stage selection process. Those who clear Stage I will proceed to Stage II. Those who fail in the stage will be sent back on the same day.
  • Candidates recommended by SSB and declared medically fit will be issued a joining letter for training in order of merit depending on the number of vacancies, fulfilling all the eligibility criteria

  • Click on ‘Officer Entry Application/Login’
  • Click ‘Registration’
  • Fill out the online registration form after reading the instructions carefully.
  • After getting registered click ‘ Apply Online’ under Dashboard. 
  • A page ‘Officers Selection – ‘Eligibility’ will open.
  • Then click on ‘Apply’ shown against Short Service Commission NCC Special Entry Course.
  • A page ‘Application Form’ will open.
  • Read the instructions carefully and click on ‘Continue’ to fill in the required details under various sections.
  • Personal Information, Contact Details, Education Details, and Previous SSB Details. ‘Save and Continue’ each time before moving on to the next section.
  • After filling in the details in the last section, you will be taken to the ‘Summary of your information page where you can check and edit the entries you have already made.
  • After making sure that all your details are correct, click on ‘Submit’. Candidates should click on ‘Submit’ every time they open the application to edit any details.
  • Candidates should take two copies of the application form with roll number within 30 minutes after completion of the online application.
